Key Takeaways:

  • Dock Ellis was a famous no-hitter pitcher who was under the influence of LSD every game.
  • Ellis pitched his famous game at the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball game in 1970.
  • Side effects from drugs may range from mild to dangerous and unpredictable.
  • Drug use should always be cautiously approached, even if a substance may provide short-term improvement in performance.

In recent years, an increasing number of prolific people have come forward to state that they use psychedelics to improve their lives and even enhance their work.

While LSD might seem like the kind of drug for use with creative jobs, it has been handy in sports too.

Dock Ellis, the famous no-hitter pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, came out after retirement and told the world that he had never pitched without taking LSD.

He was a great player and a fierce advocate, and LSD was just a minor part of his life.

In this article, I’d like to learn a bit more about what LSD is and how it works. But I would also like to explore more about the LSD no-hitter and how a baseball pro was able to pitch like that while on acid.

What is LSD (Aka Acid)?

LSD, also known as acid, is a CHEMICAL derived from ergot, a fungus that grows on rye and other grains. It was first discovered by Albert Hoffman in 1938 and has since become an increasingly POPULAR recreational drug.

It is a semisynthetic drug that works by blocking serotonin from being reabsorbed into nerve cells, resulting in INCREASED levels of the neurotransmitter, which leads to temporary changes in behavior and cognition [1].

Pro Tip: Its full name is lysergic acid diethylamide, and it is most commonly taken orally in a liquid or pill form. Placing it under the tongue is the best way to get the full effects quickly.

What are the Effects of LSD?

LSD is known for its powerful hallucinatory effects, such as VIVID colors and shapes. It can also cause INTENSE emotional shifts, from confusion and fear to euphoria and a sense of inner peace. The effects of LSD typically last between 6-12 hours, depending on the amount taken.

When you are on an LSD trip, you may experience an altered sense of time and space, increased awareness, heightened sensory perception, and a FEELING of being one with the universe.

Pro Tip: LSD cannot cause physical dependence because it’s not an addictive drug. However, you can build a tolerance to LSD that leads to psychological dependence and drug abuse.

Acid is an unpredictable drug, so there is ALWAYS the risk of a bad trip. This is a potentially uncomfortable experience that MAY include intense fear, paranoia, and anxiety.

If you find yourself having a BAD trip, remember to stay calm, focus on your breathing and try to talk through any uncomfortable feelings with a trusted friend.

There is NO way to stop it once it starts, so you have to try and stay as CALM as possible and stay where you are.

Pro Tip: Acid should never be mixed with alcohol, other drugs, or other hallucinogens. This can be extremely dangerous and could have harmful effects on your health and well-being.

How Was Professional Baseball Pitcher Able to Pitch a No-Hitter on Acid?

Dock Ellis was a PROFESSIONAL baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates for 12 years. On June 12, 1970, he pitched a no-hitter while reportedly under the influence of LSD (known in the press as the “LSD no-no”) [2].

The game took place at the San Diego Stadium, and Dock Ellis threw to PERFECTION – earning him a place in the hall of FAME thanks to his all-star game. He later went on to play for the New York Yankees, among other teams.

Pro Tip: Ellis decided to give up LSD shortly after his last MLB game. While Ellis played well under the influence of acid, he dedicated his remaining years to helping others through substance abuse.

He later claimed to have taken acid BEFORE the game and had not realized it was a no-hitter until his teammates told him afterwards.

Ellis also stated that he was on LSD every game he played and claimed that acid helped him FOCUS and “get into the groove” when pitching.

It is speculated that LSD may have IMPROVED his ability to focus on the game and tune out any distractions or NEGATIVE thoughts.

Ellis claimed that he could NOT see the ball or the batter clearly while under the influence of LSD during his 1970 no-hitter game. Despite this, he still managed to pitch a PERFECT game.

Pro Tip: His catcher also wore reflective tape on his gloves, helping Dock Ellis to focus on where he needed to throw the ball.

Some journalists are skeptical of this story, however. It may be IMPOSSIBLE to know for sure whether or not Ellis was actually on LSD while he pitched. Regardless, the story has left Ellis immortalized as a baseball PRO.

Best Place to Buy LSD Online in Canada

Buying LSD online is easier than you think, but you do have to be SENSIBLE about who you buy it from.

There are ALWAYS people looking to make money without consideration for others, and dealers like this have been known to lace their acid with FILLER ingredients.

While this might not seem particularly bad, the fillers can have an ADVERSE effect on health, and there have even been poisonings as a result.

We want you to be SAFE when you try LSD, and this is why we have a TRUSTED seller that we recommend to all of our readers.

Here, you only get pure LSD that doesn’t come with the risk of tampering.

To Conclude

In conclusion, LSD can have powerful effects on the brain and body when taken responsibly. We’ve seen how it has been used to IMPROVE focus in sports like baseball, as evidenced by Dock Ellis’s no-hitter while under its influence.

When purchasing this drug online, however, you need to be CAREFUL about who you buy from and ensure that they are trusted sellers with pure ingredients.

With proper research and CAUTIONARY measures in place, there is potential for individuals to benefit from using psychedelics such as LSD if done so safely and responsibly.
